- You must select a Screenmode for the Blocks-Picture BEFORE you load it.
- Check out the Screenmode Settings if you get a "Can't open Screen"
Message.
- If the Super-Cursor is active then wait until it is drawn completely
before starting to paint otherwise the first click might not be reco-
gnized or recognized too late. (I am trying to fix this!)
- The format of the Raw.io-Loader/Saver is described in the file
"Developer/ExampleIO.s"
- Use CONTROL + LEFT MOUSE BUTTON to drag the Map. If your mouse has three
buttons you can also use the middle one.
- You can change the Zoom-Factor during a Range-Selection by pressing
<+> or <->
- You can scroll the Map during a Range-Selection by using the Cursor-Keys
- For quick "Cut Brush and add to Brush-Table"-Operation hold down right
Amiga-Key while selecting the first Point of the Range.
- The Fill-Function checks out only the ACTUAL LAYER to see where to fill
and where not.
- The Brush-Cutting-Function cuts from the ACTUAL LAYER to the LAST LAYER
- Zoom-Precalcing needs a lot of memory but is considerably faster
- PowerCrawler has shortcuts for the Drawing-Tools which should be the
same as in Deluxe Paint.
- If you use Block -1 as transparent Block use the DEL-KEY to select it
(You can't reach it in the Blocks-Screen as the upper left Block gets
always the Number 0)
- By pressing the "?"-Gadget you can select different Zoom-Factors for
X and Y. (For example to keep the aspect right in 2:1 Screens)
- You don't have to close the Brush-Window to continue editing.
- If you have problems with your GFX-Board try changing the Tooltypes
(see PowerCrawler.guide!)
PICINTERLEAVED, MAPINTERLEAVED, EDITINTERLEAVED,
LOADIFFBMF,MASKBMF,TEMPBMF,ONEBLOCK1BMF,ONEBLOCK2BMF,
PREZOOMPICBMF,PREZOOMMASKBMF,WAITBLIT,SAFELOADIFF
- Line-Tool doesn't work? Maybe you have changed its settings to
One Point/Column or One Point/Row.
- Vertical and horizontal Filling is sometimes very pratical (check it out!)
- If you don't want PowerCrawler to create icons change the Tooltype
(NOMAPICONS, NOPRJICONS)
- Use an Icon-Editor to change the Default Icons it you don't like them
(in "Icons/")
- If you are working in HAM-Mode deactivate "Edit-Extra-Plane" and "Remap
Color 0" in the Settings-Menu
- Some Settings can only be done in the Tooltypes
- Use </> and <*> on the numeric keypad to scroll through your Brushes
- Set Pic-Load-Routine (Settings-Menu) to "Internal" if you have created the
mask in a Paint-Program which supports Mask-Saving (IFF only!). The "Iff-
Library" and "Datatypes" Pic-Load-Routines don't support masks.
- If you load a Project-File that contains Settings your actual Settings will
be replaced (Unless you select the Settings not to be loaded in the Project
Window that appears!)
- <ALT RIGHT> + <LMB> increases Zoom-Factor
- <ALT RIGHT> + <SHIFT RIGHT> + <LMB> decreases Zoom-Factor
- The Blocksize of the unregistered Version is limited to 31 x 31 but the
registered one allows Blocksizes upto 255 x 255
- Map-Preview Rendering can be aborted by pressing <ESC>
- The Popup Menus on Edit-Screen can be used in two ways:
1) CLICK LMB
RELEASE LMB
MOVE MOUSE OVER ITEM
CLICK LMB
RELEASE LMB
2) CLICK LMB
MOVE MOUSE OVER ITEM
RELEASE LMB
You can also use the Keyboard (F3,F4,F5 to activate, CURSOR to move,
Return to select, ESC to abort)
You can pop up the Brush-Menu under the Mouse-Pointer by pressing
<CTRL>+<RMB>
- The Mem-Type (BYTE or WORD) of the Map Buffer and the Brushes may be
different.
- You can use a Brush for filling.
- You can use a Catalog even for the Built-In-Language (english) by
setting the Tooltype "FORCELOCALE"
- Set the Tooltype "XEN" to get XEN-like buttons.
- Deactivate Autopoint (Settings-Menu) for the Edit-Windows if you are
running an Autopoint-Commodity.
- Someone please translate the Documentation and/or Catalog in other
languages.
- There are still hundreds of bugs to be discovered. If you find one please
report it and state also how to reproduce it.
- Register or you might get a bad surprise (NO JOKE!!)
- SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME: HOW TO USE BltMaskBitmapRastPort IN A GFX-BOARD
COMPATIBLE WAY. MUST THE MASK BE IN PLANAR FORMAT AND IN CHIP MEMORY OR
MUST IT BE IN CHUNKY FORMAT WHEN BLITTING IN A GFX-BOARD BITMAP?
IS BltMaskBitmapRastPort FASTER THAN THE WAY I'M DOING IT (SEE GUIDE!)??
DOES POWERCRAWLER CRASH ON GFX-BOARD? ARE THERE GRAPHIC ERRORS WHEN
RUNNING ON GFX-BOARDS?
